Rutgers will be in the spotlight this weekend, facing off at home against Ohio State in primetime. It’s perhaps the most ballyhooed Scarlet Knights home game since kicker Jeremy Ito played hero against No. 3 Louisville in 2006.
The capable Ito had a career 72.1 field-goal percentage (80 for 111) for Rutgers. His grandest moment came against the Cardinals in 2006, when he hit the game winner to give the Scarlet Knights the massive 28-25 upset.
According to his LinkedIn, Ito worked as a golf course assistant at Rutgers and elsewhere in New Jersey after graduating.
Since 2012 he’s worked at Prudential Financial, for the last year as a senior investment operations associate.
